The Wellingborough District Hindu Association Health Mela 2026 brought together over 44 organisations from across health, wellbeing, social care, emergency services, education, research and the voluntary sector, all united by one shared purpose. Supporting healthier, safer and more connected communities across Northamptonshire.
At a time when many individuals and families continue to face growing pressures around mental health, long-term conditions, isolation, caring responsibilities and access to support, the Health Mela created a welcoming space where people could connect with trusted services openly, early and without barriers.
From NHS health advice and diabetes support to mental wellbeing, carers services, physiotherapy, children and family support, cancer awareness, immunisation, healthy lifestyle guidance and community outreach, the day reflected the power of partnership, prevention and compassion in action.
More than a healthcare event, the Health Mela became a celebration of community cohesion, shared responsibility and collective wellbeing.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all organisations, volunteers, speakers, professionals and community members who contributed their time, expertise and support to make the event possible.
Together, we continue building a Northamptonshire where communities feel seen, supported and empowered.
