As you are I am sure aware that the club is now celebrating its 45th year of organising regular walks, and we shall be celebrating this at an event in August which will be promoted elsewhere as an event on Facebook

We will also be offering a limited edition 45th anniversary polo shirt which can now be ordered at any walk desk from Andrew Whitehead. The price of the shirt will be £12 which is payable in advance along with your size requirement as these garments will be made to order. The colourways will be a turquoise blue, reflecting the 45th anniversary being Emerald.

The items will be delivered in good time for the August event in order to accommodate those who wish to wear them for the event.

Hi there and thank you for all who attended the AGM last night.

For your information the recipient of the club achievement award was announced as Ann Roberts, and the club member award was announced as joint recipients Carol Jones and Adrian Moody.

All of the above have been notified and congratulations go to them. Both awards will be presented on the June coach trip!!

Please be aware that due to an oversight on my part some posters have been distributed for the Uppingham Sunday walk on 26th April stating in error that the start time as 6PM.

Regular walkers will be aware that our Sunday walks start at 10AM

Where practical these posters are being modified or replaced to reflect the correct start time

If you are coming along to next Sunday's walk from the recently reopened and refurbished Shuckburgh Arms at Southwick, please note they will be open and serving coffee etc. from 9am. The walk desk will open at 9:30 am. Please use the pub car park (or the one at the village hall next door) rather than parking on the street.
We hope to see you there ☕️🚶‍♀️🚶🍺

Booking will also be open for our coach trip to Ludlow, which will take place on 14th April. A deposit of £10 will be required to secure your place.

Don't forget that your AGM will take place on next Thursday, 8th June 2023 at the Wellingborough Old Grammarians HQ in Oxford Street at 19.30 for 20.00. I would love to see many of the membership attending this so please come along, raise any issues, help choose our nominated charity and elect/re-elect your committee as well as chatting to fellow members and perhaps sharing a pint :)

Treasurer Required. After many years service, Marilyn Howe has decided to step down from the role of Treasurer at the forthcoming AGM. On behalf of the committee and members we thank her for all her contributions. We therefore need someone to take over this role. No previous experience or skill is required, and a "job description" can be provided to anyone who may wish to consider taking on this task.
