We have another exciting course happening this week.

As part of our mini series of courses about new work opportunities in the Energy Efficiency / Retrofit Sector, this coming Wednesday we are delighted to be visiting Griffiths Solar and Heat Pump Training Centre in Burton Latimer.

We will have an opportunity to look round the Centre, understand more about this renewable options, and hear how people might go about moving into work in the Solar / Heat pump space.

The course is this coming Wednesday afternoon, 1.30pm to 4.30pm. Please arrive by 1.15pm for a prompt start.

It’s a FREE course, but you must register to attend.

Good morning all!!

We had a very busy time over the weekend delivering two more courses on the skills for sustainability programme.

Thank you to Jonathan for delivering the second session of the allotment for beginners course which enjoyed a beautiful day at Ladywell Allotments.

And thank you also to Michal and  Rachel at Waendal leisure Centre, for delivering the last in this series of water safety awareness courses at the pool.

Both sessions were greatly enjoyed and appreciated by all learners attending.

Thank you so much for your hard work to deliver these sessions, and course to all the people that came along.

We have a couple more courses starting this week, details to follow shortly 👍

A small group of local women gathered yesterday evening to learn all about work opportunities in the Energy Efficiency / Retrofit sector.

After understanding more about the ever growing sector, the benefits that can be derived from introducing energy efficiency measures in our homes and buildings, we did a tour of the roles and work opportunities present and emerging in this area.

It was a whistle stop tour and people came away excited and enthusiastic about the possibilities of new careers, along side or instead of work they are already doing.

Well done ladies and see you next time when we go onsite to visit solar PV and heat pump installers locally, and (hopefully) see retrofit in action at one of the many retrofit projects across our area.
