Watford & Three Rivers Trust has been at the heart of community activity since 1974 and has played a significant part in the development of local voluntary services. Many say that their own confidence has grown and some have found paid work through the experiences they have gained. With over 200 volunteer involving organisations in the Watford area alone, we can help you to find the right voluntee

Join us for a friendly, people focused workshop designed to help you feel more comfortable and confident with everyday technology. This is open to anyone, whatever your digital comfort levels; technophobes, dabblers, cautious users or confident explorers, you’re all welcome!

You’ll learn how to access important services, stay safe online, and make the most of the digital tools that can make life easier and more connected.

We’ll also introduce you to the local opportunities available for ongoing support, learning, and community. You’ll hear about the new Elstree Immersive Digital Inclusion Hub—what it will offer, how it can benefit you, and we’d love you to help us shape it, if you wish! A unique opportunity to air your views as we ask how would digital technology really help you in your life and what gets in your way?

No pressure, no jargon—just friendly help, practical tips, and a welcoming space to build your confidence at your own pace. Share your hopes, fears and concerns and we’ll tackle them together.

This workshop is being delivered by the Elstree Digital Experience Team in conjunction with Hertsmere Council. Facilitated by Gemma Rabbini (Coach&Bloom) & James Gentle (Alternative Perspectives) in a safe and open forum.

Free online workshop for carers and volunteers

Get ready to level up your digital confidence!

This is an interactive and supportive online workshop designed especially for carers and volunteers who want to strengthen their digital skills—both for their own use and to better support others. In this lively online session, we’ll explore using digital tools confidently during online meetings and helping others access and understand digital tools, apps and services.

We’ll also shine a spotlight on what’s available locally to support your digital journey, including:
1. Where to go for more information, training or hands on support
2. What’s happening in the community around digital inclusion
3. The exciting development of the Elstree Immersive Digital Inclusion Hub—what it is, what it aims to do, and how you can be one of the first to help shape it

This workshop is all about building confidence, sharing knowledge, and empowering you to support others. You’ll finish the session with new ideas, local connections, and the tools to make a positive digital difference in your community. If you can’t make the date, please register anyway and we’ll ensure you get access to the resources we share. Also just announced today. The spending power of disabled people (also known as the Purple Pound) has increased from £274 billion per year to an astounding £446 billion.
