Watford & Three Rivers Trust Our volunteers tell us that they enjoy playing a more active role in our community.

Watford & Three Rivers Trust has been at the heart of community activity since 1974 and has played a significant part in the development of local voluntary services. Many say that their own confidence has grown and some have found paid work through the experiences they have gained. With over 200 volunteer involving organisations in the Watford area alone, we can help you to find the right volunteer opportunity for you to get involved in. Volunteering is delivered by Watford and Three Rivers Trust and is funded by Hertfordshire County Council.

After more than 50 years of championing volunteering across our community, yesterday we rolled up our own sleeves for our Staff Volunteering Day 🌱

Our team swapped desks for wellies at Dig Deep, and we're proud of what we achieved together:

🧹 Cleared and organised the shed
🧰 Sorted and catalogued the site's inventory, all 457 items!
🎨 Painted all 10 raised beds
🔨 Made a great start on the new polytunnel

It was a brilliant day outdoors, away from our screens, getting stuck in and building relationships across our teams. It gave us a real taste of the difference volunteers make every day.

The W3RT Board of Trustees is expanding!

We are delighted to welcome:

Aga Dychton – Deputy Mayor of Watford

We are incredibly grateful that each of them has chosen to come on board. Their combined experience across business, media, placemaking and public service brings fresh perspective, strong leadership and valuable connections that will help W3RT continue to grow and flourish.

As we look ahead, this strengthened Board will play a key role in shaping our strategic direction, supporting our teams, and ensuring we continue delivering meaningful impact across our services.
