Charity dedicated to finding new ways to close engineering and manufacturing skills gaps in the UK.
At Enginuity, we believe that UK engineers can change the world, given the opportunity. The UK has an engineering and manufacturing skills gap, and rapidly changing challenges and technologies make it even harder for employers to identify and find the right skills at the right time. That's why our charitable objectives are based on supporting the UK’s engineering and manufacturing sector to adapt to the challenges it faces today.

Yesterday, Rachel Reeves made history as the first female Chancellor to deliver the Budget.
Her words resonated with our mission, as she shared: “To girls and young women everywhere, I say, let there be no ceiling on your ambition, your hopes, and your dreams.”
At Enginuity, we’re inspired to keep breaking boundaries, bridging the dream gap, and building an inclusive future for all women in STEM.

How will the Chancellor’s Autumn Budget affect your ability to access and train the skills and talent you need?
John Parkes, Head of Charity at Enginuity comments:
“The tough choices in this Budget will be hard to stomach for SMEs in our sectors. In the short term, there is a risk that absorbing a higher employment cost base will diminish hiring intentions and, crucially, could curtail their ability to invest in existing staff.
“The announcements made in the Budget only emphasize the critical importance of engaging with businesses, large and small, during the Industrial Strategy consultation and the development of Skills England. Closing the skills gaps in engineering and manufacturing is fundamental to realising this government’s economic growth mission, and we look forward to working closely with them in the coming months to do so.”
At Enginuity we are dedicated to closing the skills gap in engineering and manufacturing. Leave us a comment to let us know how the Budget will affect your business, to inform our engagement with the government in the coming weeks.
