As your councillor, I’m committed to ensuring our neighbourhood stays safe, clean, and vibrant. These weekly updates give a snapshot of the work I’m doing on your behalf, addressing key issues, concerns, and opportunities in our community. Let’s keep the conversation going to make Watford a better place for everyone.
🚨 𝗗𝗼𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: Responded to concerns around Berry Avenue and Diamond Road about dog poo. Keeping our streets clean is a priority, and I’m working with the Council to tackle this issue.
🚗 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱: With large vans parked on street corners affecting visibility, I’ve requested increased enforcement to improve road safety.
🌳 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀: Exploring spots for new tree planting in our area! Trees enhance our environment, so if you have any suggestions for locations in North Watford, please let me know.
🚔 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴-𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀: Reported drug-use around Leavesden Road to the Police to keep our area safe for all residents.
♻️ 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝘀: Residents with larger families (four or more) can request an extra blue-lidded recycling bin here. You can request one through the council website or phone them.

🚍 𝗕𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Received concerns about the frequency of buses. I’ve reported this to the County Council and am liaising with Arriva to address these issues.
🚮 𝗙𝗹𝘆-𝗧𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: Reported fly-tipping at Leavesden Road, Brixton Road, and St Albans Road. Working to clear these sites promptly.
🤝 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗻-𝗪𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀:
𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁: Proposed a Faith Covenant to strengthen partnerships between our local government and faith communities, similar to other towns.
𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Submitted a motion urging the County Council to adopt more proactive flood measures and to start campaigns to help residents protect their properties.
🏠 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: I’m continuing to assist with individual casework, including housing issues, SEND support, benefits, and home adaptations to make sure residents get the support they deserve.
