Hertfordshire Mind Network

Hertfordshire Mind Network Hertfordshire Mind Network is a mental health organisation, dedicated to supporting adults & young people across the county.

Welcome to Hertfordshire Mind Network. We work across Hertfordshire to support positive mental health and wellbeing. We provide a diverse range of services from our ten Wellbeing Centres and other venues across the county. Funded locally, our services are available to all residents in Hertfordshire aged 18+ and we offer dedicated services for 5-18 year olds. Our aim is to make sure that no-one has

to face a mental health problem alone. We are a local Mind, affiliated to national Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales. That means we raise our own funds to keep vital services running – and every penny you raise stays right here in Hertfordshire, helping local people. PLEASE NOTE that Hertfordshire Mind can take no responsibility for comments on its page, or any interactions that you may have with other people on or off our page. We want everyone to feel comfortable using our page. Please be respectful of all points of view. We will delete any comments we think are likely to cause offense. Any ads posted for commercial products may also be deleted. Our page will be monitored within office hours; Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. 🎉 Happy 2nd birthday to our Mindful Partners programme!

Two years ago, we asked local businesses a simple question: could you help us be there for people across Hertfordshire who are struggling with their mental health? The answer has been wonderful.

Since then, businesses right across the county have joined us as Mindful Partners, making regular donations that keep our services running. Their support helps us answer crisis calls, run peer support groups, and get information into community venues so people know where to turn when things get tough.

To every single one of our Mindful Partners: thank you. You're making a real difference to real people, every single day. 💚

A special thank you to the corporate partners who joined us at The Sadie Centre today. It was great to see you there and have a proper chat.

Is your business looking for a meaningful local cause to support? Becoming a Mindful Partner is a simple way to give back, without the time and effort of organising your own fundraising.

You focus on what you do best, and we'll keep doing what we do best.

Our Carers Service also offers online group support.

It provides you an opportunity to meet people in similar situations as you, share your experiences and learn from one another. It is a safe space for you to talk about how you are feeling, explore any challenges you may be facing. It is a chance to build your support network and create relationships, helping with your overall wellbeing.

If you are already part of the service and would like to join the group, please speak to your support worker.

If you would like to refer yourself to our service, head to buff.ly/lndpSLP for more information.

This Saturday, 13th June, we're heading to Ware Priory for the Charity Fit-Fest, and we'd love to see you there.

It's a fun, energising morning of fitness and entertainment, all in support of Hertfordshire Mind Network. Whatever your fitness level, there's plenty to get stuck into: Pilates and Zumba sessions, a workout with Laurence Vaughan, live music throughout the morning, games with the Rotary club, and refreshments to keep you going. There are a few friendly stalls to visit too.

It's a real feel-good community event, all about wellbeing and connection, and a lovely way to get active while supporting a cause close to our hearts. Donations are warmly welcomed.

Come along, get moving, and say hello to the team. We'll be there cheering everyone on.

A kind word, a simple check‑in, or starting a conversation, even with a stranger can make a real difference to someone’s day.

Sometimes, being noticed and listened to is exactly what someone needs.

You don’t have to have the right words or all the answers - but just showing care can help someone feel less alone.

This week we turn our focus to Carers and highlighting the importance of building carer friendly communities.

In the UK, 9% of the population, approximately 5.7 million people will either become a carer or require care.

Caring responsibilities can have a big impact on the person's life, both day-to-day and long term, including their relationships, health, finances, school and work.

At Hertfordshire Mind we offer support to unpaid carers. We understand the impact it can have on your life and want to ensure we provide a space for you to feel heard, understood and valued.

The grounds at The Sadie Centre are looking wonderful thanks to the team from Willmott Dixon, who spent yesterday with us on a Corporate Volunteering Day. The rain made an appearance, but it didn't slow them down one bit. Keeping this a calm, welcoming space matters enormously to the people who come here for support with their wellbeing and mental health, and days like this are a big part of how we manage it. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who got stuck in💙

To everyone who gives their time to Hertfordshire Mind Network, our volunteers across every service and our Trustees, thank you. Around 200 people volunteer with us each year, and every single one helps us support people across Hertfordshire through some of their hardest moments.
