Rossendale Drum Majorettes Proudly representing Rossendale with Drum Beats, Baton Twirling and Ceremonial Mace displays. No event is too big or too small!!

Catch us at local carnivals, fairs, church fetes, supermarkets, parades & community events. For ages 6+

No experience or equipment required. Come and see what we are about, have some fun and make some new friends. We established in 2018 and have 15+ members. We have experienced, DBS checked and first aid trained trainers and volunteers. We are recruiting for new members to teach team work, increa

se confidence, improve mental and physical health whilst learning to play a musical instrument or perform in our majorette sections of baton Twirling, Cheerleading, Sabre, Flag & Rifle displays. We perform throughout the year at carnivals, fundraisers and public/private events across the North West of England. We provide a secure and safe environment in which we train twice a week on Tuesday & Friday. We believe in team work and having fun and promote core values/life skills and are passionate about what we do. - Which is PERFORM!

A Special Thank You 💙

This is proving to be our busiest year yet in terms of supporting local and wider community events through our performances, and we wanted to give a special shout-out to the organisers and events who have already supported us, believed in us, and given us the opportunity to be part of their celebrations this year.

Your support means the world to us, and we're incredibly grateful for the warm welcomes, enthusiastic crowds, and fantastic experiences we've enjoyed so far.

Thank you for having us, we can't wait to continue bringing music, energy and entertainment to communities throughout the rest of the year!

Today we're celebrating all the amazing men who support our members every step of the way.

To our Band Dads, Foster Dads, Step Dads, Adoptive Dads, Grandads and Father Figures, thank you for the early mornings, the late nights, the lifts to practice, the words of encouragement, and the endless support you give to our band family.

Whether you're helping behind the scenes, cheering from the sidelines, carrying equipment, or simply being there when it matters most, your dedication never goes unnoticed.

We are incredibly grateful for everything you do and the positive impact you have on our members and our organisation.

Following the excitement of our first performance at Fleetwood Carnival yesterday, we thought we'd share a little glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes of each of our performances.

Whilst everyone sees the parade and performances, there is a lot happening before we even set off. From making coach arrangements to getting instruments assembled and harnesses fitted, to lining up hats and plumes, organising water bottles and making sure every member and volunteer is in the right place at the right time, there's always lots to do.

This is just part of our preparation. We make sure volunteers know what's to be expected on the day, meet with event organisers to discuss their expectations, have a team brief before and after performances, make sure all members are well hydrated and sufficiently fed and deal with any last minute changes/issues we run into such as an untuned drum.

Keeping track of members (is a task all in itself), equipment, uniforms and refreshments can sometimes feel like a military operation, but our amazing volunteers, committee members and families work incredibly hard to make sure everything runs smoothly.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped behind the scenes today. Your support allows our members to focus on enjoying themselves and performing their best.

🎉 We have more exciting news to share! 🎉

Everyone at Rossendale Drum Majorettes is incredibly proud to announce that our Director, Simon, has been nominated for the Rossendale Hospice Man of the Year Award.

This nomination is a wonderful recognition of the dedication, commitment and passion Simon brings to our organisation and the wider community. From the very beginning, Simon has worked tirelessly to create opportunities for our members, helping them build confidence, develop new skills and achieve things they never thought possible.

Behind every rehearsal, performance, event and achievement is a huge amount of hard work, and we are delighted to see that recognised. Simon's vision, encouragement and support have helped shape Rossendale Drum Majorettes into the welcoming, inclusive and successful community group it is today.

We are incredibly proud to see Simon's name amongst so many inspirational people who make a difference in Rossendale every day.

🎉 We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Rossendale Drum Majorettes has been nominated for the Rossendale Hospice Community Group of the Year Award! 🎉

Being recognised alongside so many incredible community groups is a huge honour and something we are extremely proud of.

Since our formation, our aim has always been to provide a welcoming, supportive and inclusive environment where members can build confidence, learn new skills, make lifelong friendships and represent Rossendale with pride.

From local events and community celebrations to performances across the North West region, every achievement has been made possible by our amazing members, volunteers, families and supporters.

This nomination is a reflection of the hard work, dedication and passion shown by everyone involved in Rossendale Drum Majorettes. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on our journey, this recognition belongs to all of you. 💙
