During the half term holidays our squirrel scout group had a lovely visit to Williton Library.

They thoroughly enjoyed looking at books with their friends and leaders, doing some fantastic art work and playing games.

A big thank you to Williton Library for accommodating them.

Another tick for their story time badge 📚

Remembrance Parade – Sunday 9th November

Yesterday our Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts joined together with Doniford Army Cadets and the Brownies to parade from Croft House, Williton to St Peter’s Church for this year’s Remembrance Service.

A huge thank you to all the parents who helped marshal the route – we really do appreciate the support in making days like this safe and successful.

We had a beautiful and meaningful service led by Reverend Mark Phillips, and every single young person represented themselves and their section brilliantly. They should all feel very proud.

A special well done to our flag bearers, and to those who were selected to lay wreaths – you carried out your roles with respect and confidence.

We will remember them. ❤️

We are looking for another brilliant adult to join our Squirrels team on Fridays 5pm – 6pm in Williton!

No experience needed — just someone who is kind, reliable and happy to get stuck in with crafts, games, mini adventures, earning badges… and the occasional fun sleepover! 😄

All volunteers will undergo a DBS check (we organise that for you).

If you’ve ever thought “I’d like to do something small but meaningful locally”… this is genuinely one of the best 1 hour a week community roles you can do.

The difference you make to this age group is HUGE.

Squirrels is currently thriving — we just need a couple extra hands to be able to keep delivering it for our little ones. 🧡

🍂 Squirrels Half Term Camp 2025 🐿️🎃

During Half Term our Squirrels took part in their Autumn Squirrels Camp – and for many of them this was their first night away from home!!
They absolutely smashed it. We are all SO proud of how well they did 💚

Across the camp they played loads of brilliant games, decorated pumpkins, made Halloween biscuits, explored, discovered…and of course the part they probably loved the very most… turning the Leaders into toilet roll mummies!! 👻🧻😂

They also had plenty of time enjoying the park on site which was a huge hit too.

A huge thank you to Bishops Lydeard Scout Group for allowing us to use their amazing site – we are very grateful and it helped make this camp such a special one for our Squirrels.

Well done Squirrels – you were ALL awesome 🐿️💚
We can’t wait for the next camp already!

🟣 QUIZ NIGHT – HELP US WITH THE UP KEEP OF OUR HUT🟣

We’re hosting a Quiz Night to raise essential funds for the upkeep of the Williton Scouts and Girl Guide Hut — our home and the heart of everything we do at Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
Without this hut, we simply wouldn’t be able to continue offering all the adventures, learning, and fun our young people enjoy each week — so your support really does make a difference! 💜

🗓 Saturday 29th November
⏰ Doors open 7:00pm | Quiz starts 7:30pm
📍 Williton Pavilion Hall, Robert Street, TA4 4PG

👥 Teams of 4 adults – £5 per person
🥤 Bring your own drinks and nibbles
🎟 Tickets available from Dave (Cub Leader) – 07398 717048
⚠️ Limited spaces – grab your tickets early!

Come along for a great evening of fun and friendly competition — and help us raise the funds we need to keep the hut going strong for all our young people. 🏕️✨

Our squirrels and beavers had a very exciting time last Friday visiting Tropiquaria Zoo. They had great fun seeing Bode the Bob cat, meeting many peacocks and even holding some reptiles.

One of the leaders had a turn at holding a snake - as you can see she was very impressed by this! 🐍

Term starts again soon and all sections are looking forward to some action packed sessions.

If you are looking for a group for your small humans contact us today to find out more.
