THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO TURNED OUT YESTERDAY!

The field was packed and it shows that our community turned up even though the weather didn't prove to be the best you still came out 🚗🏍️🚙

It was another great day of Classic Cars and also thank you to all of your generosity to help get another big push for the Roof fund.

🚗 A BLAST FROM THE PAST!!! 🚗

Come along for a few hours and step back in time as we celebrate classic vehicles from eras gone by! 🕰️✨

📅 Sunday 6th September
⏰ Public entry from 10am
🎟️ £5 per adult
👧 Kids go FREE when accompanied by an adult

💷 All money raised goes towards our Roof Fund.

There’ll be plenty to see and do, including:

🔧 See classic cars mid-restoration in our workshops
🚘 Admire a fantastic selection of classic vehicles
👨‍🔧 Join a guided tour with one of our members

For exhibitors:
🚗 Exhibitors are FREE — arrival between 9am and 10am
🛒 Traders — please arrive before 9am

Update 2. Got my number through the letterbox this morning. This always makes things very real with only 4 weeks to go. Saturday is my long run day and after last week's full distance it's time to reduce things a little with a nicely timed 10k from Chester le Street Riverside park to Waldridge and back in time for a further 5k at my regular Riverside Park Run. Running today in an unofficial NERC vest which will be back up for the GNR if we keep having heatwaves. Thank God today was a little cooler! Thanks again to those who have already donated - I'm half way to my target and remember gift aid adds 25%. Please share with you family and friends if you can. PS if any has a backpack designed to carry a banner/pole that I could borrow please give me a shout.

A Huge Thank You to Muckle LLP

A massive shout-out to Steve for helping our club secure a fantastic grant from his employer, .

Muckle LLP has generously awarded North East Restoration Club £1,500, which has allowed us to replace some of our ageing garage equipment and purchase some fantastic new tools to support our restoration work.

Thanks to their generosity, we now have:

🔧 A brand-new spring compressor – this will be put into action very soon We’re just waiting for the new safety cage to arrive.

🛢️ A new oil-catching device – I’m sure there’s a proper name for it! This will make oil changes on the ramp much easier and, hopefully, considerably less messy.

🚗 Four new hydraulic car skates – making it much easier to move vehicles around the workshop.

🔩 Two new low-profile trolley jacks – ideal for those awkward jobs where access is limited.

🔨 A brand-new dent puller – perfect for helping straighten and repair bodywork.

Once again, a huge thank you to Steve Cunningham and everyone at Muckle LLP for supporting North East Restoration Club. Grants like this make a real difference to what we can achieve and help us continue preserving and restoring vehicles for years to come.

Cracking turnout for our August meet last night.
