Last Monday night Rotary Washington Forge had their Xmas party night. We were honoured to have guests Toni and Christine from NPuk charity based in Washington.
They received a cheque from the recent 'Big Swim' event. Well done to all the swimmers in this annual fundraising event. Roll on next year when I'm sure it'll be bigger and better.

Over the last two Thursdays Rotary Washington Forge members and corporate members, have been out and about in various locations around the Washington area for their annual can collection.
This involves foodstuff being generously donated by residents and then collected by rotary and delivered to the salvation army. They in turn pass on food parcels to families in need.
Massive shout out to all involved in this worthwhile cause.

At last Monday nights rotary meeting, Washington Forge welcomed Adam Bushnell.
What a fantastic night we had, as Adam spoke about The Folk Lore of county Durham. He kept us entertained and on the edge of our seats as he recalled various tales
Not only that but he also hung around and did some book signing for us. What a top guy.
Thanks from everyone at Rotary Washington Forge.

The 'Big Swim' money giveaway continues. Rotary Washington Forge member Bob, visited Washington Mind to present them with a cheque. Slimming world members had taken part in the swimming event and donated monies raised to Washington Mind.
A fantastic gesture and it's great to see and hear various groups in the Washington area supporting each other and coming together to make the 'Big Swim' a fabulous money raising opportunity
