Molly Ollys

Molly Ollys Dedicated to supporting families of children with terminal and life threatening illnesses.

The money collected helps support children and their families in the community who need additional help beyond that given by the NHS and its supporting bodies. We aim to provide emotional & financial support where appropriate so some of the burdens of living with a terminal or life threatening illness can be eased. The help we provide may be in the form of equipment, an alternative therapy treatme

nt to compliment traditional medicine or even organising a special occasion for a child that would otherwise be isolated from every day events due to the restrictions of their illness. These children often find visits to hospitals and their clinics tedious as they are without home comforts and they are confined to beds or wards. Therefore we intend to provide funds to ensure the kids get the right kind of support and provide equipment or suitable entertainment to give them a happier time during their visits.

Ted is one incredible 11 year old 🤩

He had cancer aged 3 which caused a spinal cord compression, so is paraplegic and a full time manual wheelchair user. Molly Ollys supported Ted and his family a few years back with soft play equipment and have been firm friends ever since 💕

Ted is always up for trying new things and challenging himself to the max. He has climbed Snowdon 3 times with ‘Back Up Snowdon Push charity’ and won the ‘Race up Snowdon’ on his 3rd attempt. He also climbed Ben Nevis for Molly Ollys last year and raised a significant amount of money 💪

Later this month, he is taking on his biggest challenge yet - doing the 3-peaks in 30 hours for Molly Ollys once again 🙏

This will be an enormous test of endurance, teamwork, inner strength and willpower. Ted is being supported by Dad Pete, plus a team of family and friends, including ex Royal Marines, Police Officers and Firefighters.

There is still time to raise money for this amazing lad with a big heart. Donations can be made via the 🔗 in our bio.

Go for it Ted. ‘Ain’t no mountain high enough’ as the song says ⛰️ ⛰️ ⛰️ 🤞🤞🤞

Providing wishes to children who have life-threatening illnesses, is just one of the ways that Molly Ollys supports children and their families facing unimaginable challenges.

One such boy we’ve recently helped is 2 year old Rudra. He has been diagnosed with H3K27M-mutant Diffuse Midline Glioma, a rare and aggressive brain tumour.

He is currently undergoing radiotherapy treatment, so we were more than happy to provide Rudra with a gift card to make things a little easier for him and his family 😊

To receive such a heartfelt message from Rudra’s Dad means the world to everyone at Molly Ollys and certainly makes the hours all our staff and volunteers spend supporting us very worthwhile 🩷

Day 10 The Final Frontier. The last stretch of Samuel Attwell’s Challenge Ireland running the length of Ireland in 10 days from Malin Head to Mizen Head. It seems a long time ago since we started on the 18th May. Big thanks to everyone who joined Samuel on the route to either cycle or run beside him. Let’s help him smash his £50,000 target and get him over the finish line.

Help Samuel Attwell raise money to support Molly Olly's Wishes

Extraordinary: can be something that goes beyond what is usual, normal or customary. It describes people, events or phenomena that are highly remarkable or exceptional.

⬆️ And this describes Samuel perfectly…

312 miles now done and dusted with a final day of 34 miles left to go on his “run the length of Ireland” ultra-challenge 🤩🤩

As he embarks on the last chapter of this incredible adventure, it’s fitting that Dad Dean is with him to cover the final leg in County Cork between Kealkill and Mizen Head, Ireland’s most southwesterly point 😊

Samuel’s fundraising now stands at a whopping £46,250 👏 👏 He’s just £3,750 short of his ambitious £50,000 target so please help him get over the finish line by donating via www.justgiving.com/page/samrunsireland
( a live link is also in our bio 🔗)

Keep going Sam, everyone is behind you. You’ve got this 🙌🙌
