📢The Heart of England CRP are celebrating National Inclusion Week! 🥳

We want all people and communities to feel welcome and fully accommodated for on the railways. This year's theme is Build trust & navigate change, which feels really apt for the transport sector in 2026.

In particular we want to support disabled passengers with better accessibility measures.

With our second Travelling with Confidence Programme beginning next week, we hope to keep flying the flag for Inclusion

The Department for Transport has announced free bus travel for kids aged 5-15 in England this August.

That means more young people introduced to sustainable travel, and more families able to enjoy amazing days out for less 🏖️

This week we have reached 257 young people with rail safety workshops, taking the total up to 1353 so far in 2026! This is alongside our partnership with expanding our reach across local schools, helping keep our communities safe.

What a great way to kick off Rail Safety Week activities visiting the fabulous Safeside Education Centre in Birmingham, with our partners

The possibilities are endless here and opens up the concept of teaching rail safety alongside road, fire and water safety. We hope to bring many more students here in the future!
