BZ MC Finlay … we are all extremely proud of you here at TS Tormentor too 👏

🌟 Brookfield Star Spotlight! ⛵🏆

A huge congratulations to Finlay, who travelled to East Lothian, Scotland at the end of last month for his latest National Open sailing event and the first of the autumn season! 🍂🌊

After two days of light and challenging winds, Finlay achieved an impressive 5th place overall in the ILCA 4 fleet and was 2nd ILCA 4 male. 👏🥈

There's no slowing down for Finlay, with plenty of training ahead before competing in three National Open competitions across three consecutive weekends this month. 💪⛵

We're incredibly proud of your dedication, hard work and achievements, Finlay. Wishing you the very best of luck for a busy and exciting month ahead! ⭐

As National Cadet week draws to a close and Cadets around the country participate in Parades and cadet activities demonstrating the value of the Cadet Forces, TS Tormentor Cadets and CFAV did their duty representing us at the HMS Royal Oak Commemoration and Service of Remembrance at HMS Excellent this morning.

AC Will capably delivered the bible reading and LCpl Izzy laid the wreath, supported by AC Dylan and Cdt Edward - BZ! 👏

As National Cadet week progresses, we celebrated our achievements with Wessex District Sea Cadets District Officer, Lt Cdr (SCC) Lindsay Bassett RNR as our guest and Inspecting Officer for October Divisions last night.

Lt Cdr Bassett “changed hats” to her Southern Area Sea Cadets Staff Officer - Cadet Voice after Divisions was complete and gave an informative insight into the workings of Cadet Voice nationally.

A lovely evening celebrating all that is good about cadetting with a wonderful spread of cakes and cookies baked by our Catering and DoE Cooking Skills cadets, followed by the monthly presentations of promotions and qualifications, Capping Out of our latest 2 New Entries, 2 Aging Out certificate presentations and culminating with the Commanding Officer being presented with her Cadet Forces Medal!

Congratulations and BZ all! 👏

As we celebrate National Cadet Week 5-11 October, here is a showcase of a selection of training photos from Unit based activities from the past couple of weeks and from DMACT and SAMACT over the weekend just gone. The smiling faces say it all … Cadetting in all its forms, gives our young people access to a vast range of skills but more importantly fun and enjoyment with friendship and cameraderie!

BZ all and huge thanks to all our CFAV who give of their time freely in order to facilitate these opportunities - THANK YOU 🙏🏻
