Home Run Hounds Northwest

This week's dog of the week is our beautiful Eliza. This 6 year old girl is cat trainable, great with people of all ages and other breeds. She will stop and stare on walks if there's off lead dogs in the distance but she's just wondering what it's doing! She's clean in a home and loves nothing more than a bit of playtime then snuggling up with her human friends. This girl is absolutely adorable - super friendly, cuddly and is looking for her forever sofa.
😺😺 Eliza has been cat tested and is cat trainable with appropriate slow introductions.

If you think Eliza could be the perfect addition to your family please get in touch via the details at the top of the page, alternatively check out our website greyhound.org.uk to see all of the hounds we currently have in our care 😊

Can everyone vote for us on the original post?? We're so close!

My Christmas charity draw is getting interesting... see pinned post

Every year, I donate three figures from my Christmas sales to a UK dog charity chosen by YOU.
And I've opened nominations again!

If there's a UK dog charity you think deserves some extra help, here's how to nominate them:
1️⃣ SHARE this post
This gets your nomination into the draw.
2️⃣ TAG your chosen UK dog charity in the comments below.
3️⃣ LIKE this post
4️⃣ TAG any dog-loving friends who might want to nominate a charity too.

Every valid nomination puts that charity's name into the draw. So the more times a charity is nominated, the more times its name goes into the draw...

I'll randomly select one UK dog charity at the end of October.

The greyhounds were making a VERY strong showing. But another contender is catching up pretty fast!!

The food is such a massive help to all of the rescues that Jollyes St Helens - The Pet People customers donate. It's a huge expense saved that we can use the extra money to put towards vet bills and enrichment that we wouldn't normally have. If you're popping in please help us out🤞💕

SO PROUD!
From humble beginnings in 2022 when HRH started on one kennel site in Wombourne with 9 hounds, to becoming a CIC in November 2022 and a registered charity in July 2024, we've achieved our BEST EVER monthly homing figures in September this year!

63 hounds across our 6 kennel sites found love as family pets last month.

And 897 dogs are in their forever homes at end of August 2026!

Thank you to everyone who has made this possible!

If anyone has a spare couple of minutes could we ask that you click on the link below and nominate us to potentially benefit with one of these grants? £5000 would go a long way to supporting our kennel kids while they're looking for forever homes💕

This week's dog of the week is our gorgeous 2 year old boy Ray.
This fun loving boy is super friendly, loves to give kisses and adores playtime.
Ray loves to be out and about and walks beautifully by your side. Ray is good with other breeds and children and is looking for a fairly active home where people can give him lots of love and playtime.
😺😺 Ray has not passed a cat tested so we couldn't recommend rehoming him with any small furries.
If you think Ray could be your perfect companion get in touch via the details at the top of the page. Alternatively check out our website greyhound.org.uk to check out all of the hounds we currently have in our care 😊

It's national black dog day today so we thought we'd share our gorgeous black boys and girls that are looking for their forever homes 🏡
Black dogs are often harder to re-home as people go for the "prettier" colours - we think black dogs are stunning and still have amazing personalities - these boys and girls deserve a chance at their forever homes could you be the one to offer their forever sofa?
Show us your black hounds in the comments.....
