This week's dog of the week is our gorgeous 4 year old girl Holly.
Holly is a lovely little calm girl who is great with humans of all ages and all dog breeds big or small. She went on an adventure last weekend to birchwood carnival with our volunteer Julie. Here's how she got on... .
I had the pleasure of taking Holly to the carnival today.
She needed some help to get into the car on the outward journey, so I had to help her in by lifting her feet in.
She immediately settled down and travelled well.
On our arrival she was reluctant to get out but we straight away met Rebel with his family, who helped to lift her down. Despite appearing to be tired after already having a walk that morning, she happily walked onto the field where she enjoyed meeting people of all ages and dogs of various breeds and sizes. She was un-phased by any of them, including dogs that barked at her.
Holly wasn't keen on my plan to stroll around a bit and once we got to the HRH stands she decided that was where she would stay. She enjoyed watching the dog show and sleeping, although still happy to meet people who came around to meet her.
Once we'd left the carnival field, She easily jumped into the car. On arrival back at kennels she indicated that she'd rather stay in the car boot than get out, so with a bit of encouragement to get her up she then jumped down easily.
She was brought her dinner straight away, which she wolfed down like Desperate Dan.
What a sweet, calm, gentle dog she is π©·
ππ Holly has not been cat tested so we couldn't recommend rehoming her with any small furries at the moment.
