We believe that in order to create community cohesion, we must overcome barriers created historically. The EEF model is designed to remove barriers created locally by encouraging open and honest discussion a

mongst community members. Ultimately our goal at ELC is to unite all corners of society and create a buzzing local community of which its residents are proud to form a part of. One of ELC’s principles is to EMPOWER, we strongly believe that empowering children and young people from a young age is essential. ELC delivers political education sessions to groups of young people, it is important to note that these sessions are non-party political. They are simply designed to introduce young people into politics and show how it affects their every day life. ELC work closely with local and regional youth/school councils. We facilitate and recruit young people into committee’s. Jamie Elkaleh oversee's all of our participation and involvement work. Here’s a little bit about Jamie, and his work in the past …

Jamie El-Kaleh at 23 is a British activist with Egyptian heritage. Ever since the age of 13 Jamie has been involved in Charity & Voluntary work. Having worked on a Local, National and Global level representing the views of young people; Elkaleh has become an experienced advocate for young people. In the past nine years, Elkaleh has been involved in many youth projects around the UK. He has served as an advisor, activist and advocate. Due to his vast experience and his young age, Jamie is regularly invited to speak and facilitate workshops. He has spoken at national and global summits to a whole host of audiences; from groups of youths to senior foreign policy makers. Jamie has several prestigious titles varying from British representative to a British Council Global Changemaker. Jamie has represented his town, region and country at multiple events. Elkaleh has served as a member of youth parliament for 4 years and also was elected the North West representative for the UK Youth Parliament representing over 600,000 young people. Qualified professionals with full DBS checks deliver all of the above. ELC prides itself on providing all of the above for free of charge to local community groups.
