Nice little cruise out in the sunshine to day with Gaz GT Bear from Grappenhall to Thorn Marine at Stockton Heath and back. Impressively saw a kingfisher alongside Grappenhall Sports Club on the way out and again on the way back. The Duke's Cut does carry an abudance of wildlife. Plenty of narrowboats out getting end of season trips in. A good personal practise time, even used my SUP motor for much of the trip. Mark J. O'Dell

Some feedback from this seasons paddling on the The Dukes Cut at Grappenhall (April to October). Looking back at our bookings this year we have put 582 youth members on the water. Then add on top of this the volunteers running the sessions, then visiting leaders and parent who also went on the water. I think I can say it was very busy. A resounding thank you to the volunteers who run Paddles Blazing AST...... our heros. Thanks - Mark, Team leader. '

A dusk session on The Duke's Cut last night for 16 Scouts plus leaders from the 18th Warrington East. A good session and novel getting back in the dark.
Sadly our last Tuesday night session this season, failing light has caught up with us. The end of a very busy season a resounding thanks to all of our team volunteers, without whom these outdoor activities would not happen, as they say hero's don't wear capes - no they sit in kayaks, canoes or stand on SUPS and support our young members to get out on the water and have fun. 😀👍

Very busy day yesterday, 9 volunteers from Paddle Blazing were down at Tatton Park Scout Activity to help another member of our team with his Warrington West Cub Activity day., Rafting, Bell Boating and canoeing - multiple sessions were run, 3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. A great team effort to support the day. Bonus too, 3 new Bell Boat Helms from Chester District assessed for permits, plus another for a renewal.
