Pedal Away Pedal Away is a community cycling initiative by the charity Wheels for All

We have sessions for all abilities most days.

All our sessions are bookable online via this link https://tinyurl.com/3jepje55 Pedal Away began its life in Knowsley in 2008. Since then we have grown to having cycling hubs across the Liverpool City Region, Salford, Preston and East Lancs. We offer regular weekly cycle rides, all supported by a strong group of volunteers and ride leaders. Our friendly approach has seen many people go from cycling novice, to weekly regulars offering their own advice and support to newcomers. Bikes and helmets are available to hire. Our rides are free but we do suggest a small donation of £2, from those can afford it, to help keep the wheels turning.

🎃👻 Pedal Away Halloween Ride 2026! 👻🎃

Our annual Halloween ride is back! 🚲✨

This year we’re heading out from Court Hey Park on Sunday 25th October, setting off at 6pm.

We’ll be decorating our cycles with fairy lights to create a spooky but atmospheric evening ride, before heading out along a spooky story route, with a few stops along the way for some ghost stories and Halloween tales. 👻📖

It’s all about getting out together, having a bit of fun and enjoying a different kind of Pedal Away ride — and everyone is welcome!

Hi everyone,

One of our fantastic Pedal Away riders, Alan Lynch, has asked us to share details of the annual Prostate Cancer Support Group social event, which is coming up on 21st November at Christ the King Parish Centre.

They had a fantastic evening last year and raised an amazing £2,000 for the Royal Liverpool Hospital, so it’s a brilliant cause to support. ❤️

🎟️ Tickets are £10 each

There are lots of people across our Pedal Away groups who have been touched by prostate cancer, so we thought this might be of interest to some of you.

If you’d like to attend or would like some more information, drop us a message and we can put you in touch with Alan, who can provide the details for booking and payment.

Hopefully some of you will be able to get along and support Alan and what should be another great evening! 👍

Our next Family Learn to Ride session is now open for bookings!

Following the fantastic response to our last session, we’re back at Stadt Moers Park, Knowsley this October.

Saturday 3rd October
10:30am–12:30pm

Our Family Learn to Ride sessions are designed to help children aged 3+ make the move from stabilisers to riding independently.

We'll support your child throughout the session while also sharing practical tips and techniques with parents and carers, helping you continue building their confidence and practising together at home.

Please bring:

Your child's bike
A helmet (limited helmets available to borrow)
Stabilisers removed before attending (and pedals too, if possible)

Our last session booked up very quickly, so we’d recommend booking early to avoid missing out.

It's the first day of and we've got some VERY exciting news to announce... 🎉🚲

In two week’s time, Wheels for All will be celebrating an incredible milestone – our 35th anniversary!
For 35 years, we've been creating opportunities for disabled people and those with differing needs to experience the joy, freedom and benefits of cycling. To mark the occasion, fundraising activities will be taking place across all of our internal Hubs during their usual sessions throughout the anniversary week and we will be sharing some amazing things online as we revisit some wonderful times caught on camera! ✨

Each Hub will be running its own fundraising activities, so if you'd like to get involved, please check with your local Hub or follow your region's page (listed below!) for details of what's happening near you.

Regional JustGiving pages are also now live and ready to receive donations. Every pound raised will help us continue to provide inclusive cycling opportunities for years to come.

Women’s Only Ride
A friendly and social ride creating a safe space for women to build confidence, meet others, and enjoy cycling together.
Beginner’s Ride
Perfect for anybody looking to start their cycling journey, improve confidence, and develop cycle skills with support along the way.
Both rides will take place on Mondays from Halewood and are open to anyone looking to get active, meet new people, and discover the joy of cycling.
