Helping Special Needs or Older Rabbits

Special Needs Older Rabbits Sanctuary (SNORS) was formed to help rescues with special needs or older rabbits. It was founded in April 2015 to offer rabbits with complex health needs a specialist permanent home. This partnership benefits rescue by freeing up space to re-home more rabbits as well as relieving them of the financial burden caring for special needs rabbits bring.

Rabbits at SNORS get love, care and bunny companionship in a domestic environment. The founders have over 20 years’ rabbit experience and are supported by a knowledgeable team of vets. All rabbits are free range with spacious indoor accommodation and access to an individual large outdoor run. Running SNORS takes dedication and passion as it can be incredibly tough knowing that the rabbits are unlikely to have long. The founders get satisfaction knowing they do everything possible to make the bunnies remaining time comfortable, happy and pain free and will make the decision at the right time to end suffering.

We are delighted to announce our Building Fund - Wishing for a Miracle project, launched February 2020:-
