💙 A few seconds could help raise funds for Making Space!

We’re delighted to be one of just three charities in the Discount Promo Codes charity poll this September – and we need your votes!

The charity with the most votes will receive 20% of Discount Promo Codes’ profits for the month, helping us provide even more support to people across our services.

☕🛍️ Community, cuppas and a fantastic £296 raised! 💜

There was a brilliant community atmosphere at Ashwood Court Residential in Lowton as residents, colleagues and local people came together for a chat, a brew and a browse around some fantastic stalls.

Thanks to everyone’s generosity, an amazing £296 was raised! 🎉

Residents will have their say on how the money is spent, with ideas including putting it towards future trips out or purchasing a new pool table for everyone to enjoy. 🎱

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, supported the stalls and helped make the event such a success. It was a lovely opportunity to bring our local community together. 💜

❤️ Small moments. Big memories. Kind Hearts.

Earlier this year, we launched our Kind Hearts Fund to help create meaningful experiences for the people who draw on our support – from special celebrations and days out to opportunities to fulfil a long-held wish.

And we’re already seeing the difference it can make. 💫

The fund has helped create special memories including a 90th birthday afternoon tea at Harpers Green Extra Care in Warrington and a fantastic trip to Blackpool Zoo for people from Halton Supported Living.

These aren't just days out or celebrations. They're opportunities to spend time together, try something different, build confidence and create memories that last.

⚽💙 Supporting grassroots football in memory of a much-loved colleague

We were very touched to receive this special shirt from Weston Point Hybrids Under 12s, featuring the Making Space logo as a thank you for our support.

Making Space made a donation to the Runcorn junior football team for their 2025/26 season in memory of our much-loved colleague and dear friend, Jordan Carrington.

Jordan’s kindness and the impact they had on those around them continues to be remembered across Making Space. Each year, our Jordan Carrington Kind Hearted Award celebrates a colleague who truly lives our values and demonstrates the kindness and compassion that Jordan represented.

It means a great deal to us to be able to support a local junior team in Jordan’s memory and help young people enjoy being active, part of a team and doing something they love. ⚽

Our Senior Leadership Team were delighted to receive the shirt – thank you to everyone at Weston Point Hybrids for such a lovely gesture.

We wish the Under 12s the very best for the season ahead! 💙⚽

There was excitement at Kingshill in Wigan this week as residents picked the first batch of ripe tomatoes they’ve grown. 🌱🍅

Of course, every handpicked tomato had to pass a very important quality control inspection first! 😊

⛰️ PACT Warrington are taking on Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) for Making Space! 💙

We’re thrilled that PACT Networking Warrington have chosen Making Space as their charity of choice – and they’re certainly not doing things by halves!

On Sunday 20 September, a brilliant team of local business people will be pulling on their walking boots and taking on Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), the highest mountain in Wales, to raise vital funds for our services in Warrington.

👏 A huge good luck to Mark Beech, Ian Barker, Ben Albrissi, Elliott McQuillan, Claudia Price and Nina Street, who’ll be joined by Making Space colleague Natalie Bargery, along with family and friends of the PACT team.

With a summit of 1,085 metres (3,560 feet), there’ll be steep climbs, challenging terrain and probably some tired legs along the way – but it will all be worth it to help make a difference to people in Warrington. 💙

We’re incredibly grateful to the whole team for taking on this challenge for us.
