Tomorrow will be the next meeting of Warrington Area Prostate Cancer Alliance - WAPCA the prostate cancer support group covering Warrington and area.

This month we have a speaker, Dr Deep Chakrabarti a consultant oncologist at The Christie hospital in Manchester. Deep will tell us about his life and how he treats and supports men diagnosed with prostate cancer.

No need to book. Just turn up and we’ll be there to welcome you.

Doing a bit for charity...I've not run in over 30 years so it was a slog! Got my hormone therapy implant next week..hope it doesn't hit me too hard this time!

Since I started to live with incurable cancer it’s always been a challenge to set targets.

My initial prognosis wasn’t great and it seemed unlikely that I would see my then 3 year old Grandson become a teenager. Well, today he’s become a teenager and it inspired me to write this blog about targets and some of the milestones I’ve achieved.

When I think back to that horrendous day, Tuesday 9th May 2017, when I received a telephone call from my sports injuries Doctor to tell me he was 99% certain I had prostate cancer, it’s fair to say…

We are delighted that our next meeting will include a presentation by Mohit Mitra from Tackle Prostate Cancer’s friends iMEDicare about erectile dysfunction following treatment and what to do about it.

All men impacted by prostate cancer welcome. No need to book in!

Monday 7th September 6:30-8:30 at Alford Sports and Social Club.
