Today, Warrington remembers those who have fallen in war at the cenotaph, Bridge Foot.
The Mayor of Warrington will be joined by war veterans, religious leaders, and members of the armed forces for this important civic event.
At 9.45am, the Parade will form at Warrington Town Hall before departing at 10.20am via Springfield Street, Palmyra Square South, on the way to the cenotaph. At 10.59am, the service will begin with the βLast Postβ, and a national two-minute silence will be held.
If you wish to attend the ceremony, please access and exit the cenotaph via the marked crossing points and ensure you have arrived by 10.45am.
Road closures are in place from 8am until 12noon at Bridge Foot and the surrounding areas, and from 9am until 12noon around Queens Gardens and nearby streets.
Free parking is available all day in the Time Square Warrington multi-storey car park.
We thank all servicemen and women, past and present, for their bravery and the sacrifices they make for our freedom.
