⚜️As we come to the end of our Summer Camp 26 we reflect on all that has been achieved. Scouts and Cubs have worked hard especially given the hot weather. It brings a smile to my face to hear Scouts and Cubs offer to help another Scout or Cub on camp with something like carry a water bucket or wash up. Kindness and friendship is so important and it’s been a pleasure to watch this group of children flourish.

All children doing well.
The Scouts did a bit of archery 🏹 in the shade yesterday.
The Cubs prepped and cooked their own lunch mince and bean taco shells and the Scouts prepped and cooked their own sweet and sour chicken with noodles. 🍜
One of our senior scouts doing his Senior cook badge has already prepared and cooked breakfast for the patrol of Scouts and yesterday had to make a meal for 2 without using any utensils and of course no oven. Did really well steaming salmon in foil and some vegetables. Well done everyone 👏

Yesterday afternoon Cubs and Scouts had water 💦 ballon game, and a warm water camp colander shower!
Today the Cubs have finished their morning duties like washing the duckboards and bowls to keep us hygienically clean as we can. They are now being taught how to cook themselves some lunch mince Taco 🌮 camp style and the Scouts will be cooking some Sweet and Sour for their lunch today. They have very good appetites these growing Scouts 😆

Summer Camp 26
We like to keep our Scouts and Cubs busy! Yesterday the Scouts set up their shelters, used their gadget skills to make bowl stands and A frames to be used later in the week. Archery 🏹 lessons for the Cubs along with their own Grasshopper inspections and giving them a names like Jimmy Scooter, speedy one leg, and speedy wonder. Space and nature at its best!

Active last sessions across Beavers, Cubs and Scouts last week.
Beavers had a choice of different activities to do, Cubs enjoyed an outside game of ‘Cub’ as did the Scouts.

This week Beavers carried on with badge work and had fun planting some cress seeds. Let’s hope they grow 🌱
Cubs continued working on badge work looking at different birds and made some colourful birds to take home. Well done guys great work 👏
