Hello and welcome from your new ptfa!

We have lots of exciting events planned for the children this year. You will have already received a 'dates for your diary' poster so please make a note of these. We will also be throwing in the occasional mini-event along the way such as cake sales, second hand uniform stands, pop-up shops etc but will be sure to keep you updated!
We want your children to experience the best time at Sambourne. We know the teachers and staff have the education and values covered brilliantly, we are here to support the school by fundraising projects that will enrich their primary years experience!
This year our objectives are;
•Building great relationships and engagement between the ptfa, staff, children and parents/carers! - Have any ideas for events or fundraising ideas? Great! We would love to hear them! Do you have a hidden talent or a job that you feel would be great to share with the children? Amazing! Please let us know! Whether you can help at event, have an idea for a future event, if you have a connection that you feel could benefit our fundraising missions, we are so grateful for any input that you can give us and ultimately it will benefit the children. Let's build the Sambourne community and work together!
• School library - We are lucky enough to have a school full of children that love to read and learn from books and as a result, our library is looking rather 'well loved'. For our biggest project this year we would love to help the school refurbish and restock the library with new shelving, new books and new seating.
•School trips - A fantastic way to enhance the learning of a topic is to go and visit/experience it! We would love to raise the funds to help the school offer more class trips for the children to further enrich their learning.
The events and activities that the Ptfa put on are to help fund the projects above. By participating in them you are directly helping us fulfill these goals.
We hope that we all have a successful and enjoyable year.
If you have any questions, feedback or just want a general chat, you will normally find me at school drop off and pick up! Otherwise please leave myself or other members of the Ptfa a note in the purple Ptfa box in reception!
