Grove WI celebrated their 79th birthday in July. We would have been a bit older if it wasn't for closing for a couple years during WW2. We were entertained by the amazing Charmaine Live Soloist & Entertainment who took us back to our youth with songs from the 60s and 70s, followed by a veritable feast which members provided.

June is here, and the sun disappeared 😢 Nevertheless, Grove WI are looking to get beach-body ready 🤣 The lovely Sally Benoussis demonstrated some simple Pilates exercises we could do to stay supple. Although this wasn't a teaching session, many chose to echo Sally's movements. Roll on the summer!

How useful are our ears? We can have them pierced to wear earrings, we push our hair behind our ears to keep it out of our eyes, and they help keep our glasses on! But of course they are important when we communicate with each other. It's horrible when they get blocked and we can't hear so well.
At their March meeting, Grove WI had a very informative talk by local audiologist, David Peel, about all things auricular and the importance of hearing checks, because hearing loss is an invisible disability that can isolate us.
