How brilliant it is that this year our charity snowdrop day happens to also be VALENTINE’S Day!
What could be more romantic than a stroll among the snowdrops?
And we are thrilled that this year, all the day’s proceeds will be going to Tapping House.

Two rather nice water bottles were left at the Parish Hall recently. One has ‘dad’ on it - any dads out there feeling thirsty?
There’s also an adult size dark coloured baseball cap.

Please get in touch so that we can return these items to you!

Hugely looking forward to our screening next week, of Film: The Ballad of Wallis Island
Come to Walsingham Parish Hall on Tuesday evening, doors open at 7pm when as usual we will be offering refreshments and chat before the show.

Exciting news for November, we’ve just heard that we can get the licence to show the immortal classic movie ‘The Sting’ for our final screening of 2025 on the last Tuesday of November, Tuesday 25th. Regulars will know that we try to offer at least one classic during the year.

We are showing this as a tribute to our teenage heartthrobs Robert Redford, who has just recently died, and Paul Newman. Robert Redford not only starred in so many brilliant films, he also founded the Sundance Film festival which has done so much to promote independent film making.

Mic & Mingle will be here at the Parish Hall on Sunday.

Hello you lovely “Minglers”
So, bit of a last minute venue change as there’s new management in The Bull and I haven’t spoken with them yet about getting in there. (Thought best to let them settle in)
But first a big goodbye to Paul and Jackie, it’s a shame as this would’ve been a year this month Luke and myself have had the privilege to put on nights there.

Soooo we’re going to be down the Parish Hall instead, it’s down the High St if you don’t know.

Going to be mostly the same same..but different!

All welcome 🤗
7.30pm kick off till 11pm
No need to book, but you’re always welcome to message me on here if you would like to request a slot.

The differences:
No premises license, so bring your own tipples.
I’m asking for suggested donations as we’re hiring the hall out for this.
Apart form that, let’s have another fantastic bash of “Mic & Mingle” 🎙️

The new kitchen is ready for refreshments to be served here on Saturday!
Refreshments will be on sale at the Parish Hall on Saturday, tea and cakes and more, in aid of the Abbey Charity Snowdrop day.

The snowdrops are just beginning to reach their peak! These cold nights and cold drab days do have their up side, which is that the snowdrops are developing slowly which should prolong the season.

All we need is a little sunshine which will open the flowers up nicely during the day. On a sunny day the bees come to find them and you may be able to detect the snowdrops' sweet honey scent especially where there are large drifts.

We are hugely looking forward to our Snowdrop Charity Day 2025 coming up this Saturday, 15th February just in time for half term.

Opening arrangements and admission prices are as usual, with all the day's gate proceeds going to the brand new Cambridge Children's Hospital project.

Refreshments will be available Walsingham Parish Hall (the Oddfellows Hall), just a short walk from our entrance at 14 High Street, NR22 6AA.

Please note that Historic Houses Membership cards, and Gardener's World 2 for 1, are not valid on our charity day.

If you can't make it on the day, do consider making a donation. This brand new hospital will hugely benefit sick children and their families in East Anglia and will be a fantastic hub of innovation in children's and young people's health across our region.
