When we looked out the window of YMCA Coffee at the Clock every afternoon, we saw hundreds of young people walking home from school. We wanted to create somewhere safe, positive and welcoming for them. Today, that vision has become the YMCA Youth Cafe, which welcomes around 80 young people every week!

The Youth Cafe is just one example of the fantastic initiative we're blessed to have in our Black Country team, to create valuable spaces in partnership with local organisations.

Please support the wider work of YMCA Black Country Group by voting for us in YMCA's Youth Matters Awards.

Very many thanks to 'The Philanthropy of Jesus', a CIC whose mission is to provide support, through their humanitarian actions, to people who are often 'unreachable. The organisation brought food and drink items that we use every day such as coffee, tea bags, sugar, milk, squash and biscuits - all of which were very much welcomed by the Centre.

We can't emphasise enough how much donations such as this are so very beneficial to and for us: being able to provide a hot or cold drink to our Service Users is such a basic thing - but one which we wouldn't be able to do if it wasn't for the kindness of the community.

Thank you The Philosophy of Jesus, for your support - it really does make such a difference.

Today thanks go, as always, to Rushall Parish for a donation brought to us at the beginning of the week by delivery person extraordinaire, Bob, who its always a pleasure to see. As well as cereals (which our Service Users are able to take away with them), there were other great items that we'll make very good use of such as tea bags (our Service Users love a brew - but then again, who doesn't?!), milk (for the brew, obviously), some packet and tinned items and some chocolate biscuits, which will be very gratefully received by our Service Users as we don't tend to have many of these in the building.

Thank you so much to everyone at Rushall Parish who was involved in donating these items - we very much appreciate your support.
