Part 2…the bit you’ve been waiting for... The Stocks!

Thank you to all the young people and adults for getting involved. From throwing a sponge (or six), to getting in the stocks yourself!

We want to wish you all a great summer! Whatever you’re up to whether you’re going away, or staying home, we hope you all have lots of fun and stay safe!

We’ll be back in September, refreshed and ready for the start of the winter term!

Last night we hosted our annual fun on the field to end term!

Firstly we would like to thank everyone who came along! We hope you had lots of fun, enjoyed the food and the entertainment.

Last night we handed out 196 badges across all our sections. From our youngest Squirrels to our oldest Scouts! That’s all the badges our young people have worked towards and finished since Easter! They’ve all works so hard, learning new skills, making new memories and of course having fun along the way. We even got the chance to hand out some our Top Awards that our young people have worked towards and completed!

We also got to celebrate 2 birthdays!

Sometimes life skills aren’t the standard skills we think about…it’s making something new on a fire pit!

This week our Scouts have been making chocolate orange brownies and marshmallow wafers on the fire pit! A simple sweet treat that went down very well across our section! This is following on from chicken parcels last week!

At Scouts we’re constantly learning new skills, meeting new people and making new memories! Do you have a young person aged 10-14? Why not bring them along in September and see what we’re all about! Pop us a message to find out more!

As part of our Community Impact, the Cubs went out litter picking tonight

Last night we headed out to Beaudesert Park Farm with the Cubs to learn about where food really comes and work on their Animal Carer Badge!

We got the chance to make up kids milk, feed the kids, feed hay the farms Bull and meet the newest kids to the farm! All round everyone had a great time and we would like to say a huge thank you to Mary, Dan and Amy for hosting us!

Ps, kids are baby goats, we haven’t been feeding our young people goat milk!

Tonight we finished off our money skills badge by learning about delayed gratification, the taxes and interest and making our own fake money!
