Swallow's Wings Puppetry will be joining us on Saturday 20th June Nature's stories Storytelling Festival

Using traditional West African stories about Anansi the Spider as a meeting place, we enchant, entertain, educate and build cross-generational dialogue. The story is told using puppets made from everyday materials along with beautiful traditional West African music.
The shows are a springboard to learn about the journey of the Anansi stories from Africa to the UK via the Caribbean. This journey follows enslaved African people to the Caribbean and then the migration of their descendants to the UK with the Windrush generation.

With thanks to Black Country Touring, The National Lottery Community Fund, Creative Black Country (Making Our Mark) for their support and for making this event possible.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Eid Party at Caldmore Community Garden last Saturday, it truly was one of those events that brings us all together and celebrates the diverse communities of Walsall!

Big thank you to all the organisations - Aaina Hub, Aisha Mosque, Afghan Community and Welfare Centre, Bilal Academy, Nuurul Huda, Walsall Kobar Friendship Association and Sudan Kidney Aid - who all helped us put on the event. They ran activities and stalls, helped with planning and setting up, and welcomed everyone with huge smiles on their faces.

It was lovely to see the Mayor of Walsall visit the Garden with the Mayoress and we are looking forward to being one of the Mayor's chosen charities.

The Eid Party raised £1828.02 for Sudan Kidney Aid - thank you to all who have donated to support this worthy cause.

Big thank you to our sponsor NA Cars and Minibuses Ltd.

And above all, our thanks go to all the volunteers who helped to organise the event - you are the heart and soul of Caldmore Garden and we really appreciate every minute of your time! And we couldn't do without everyone who made cakes for event - thank you, and all other volunteer bakers!
