🚁 Fun Fact Friday
Ever wondered what happens between the emergency call and the helicopter taking off? 👀

Once an incident location is identified, dispatchers provide a grid reference so the crew can input the location onto a tablet based navigation and communication system. The route is entered into the aircraft's GPS which can be linked to the autopilot.

We also carry a 1:250000 aviation map as a backup.🗺️

While the route is being planned, the team are already heading to the aircraft, carrying vital equipment, loading blood products and carrying out essential safety checks.

⚡ It's all about being ready to respond as quickly and safely as possible.

🔥 Our team is taking on the heat for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity! 🔥

Lisa from our Marketing team and Steve from our Supporter Care team are taking on our Firewalk Challenge 2026 to raise funds for our lifesaving service. 🔥

They'll be walking barefoot across hot coals reaching temperatures of around 800°C... could you?

🚁 A great visit to our Headquarters!

We were pleased to welcome the Royal Marines Charity (RMA) Kidderminster Branch to our Headquarters.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, share experiences and recognise the positive impact both charities have in supporting people and communities across the region.
