WASUP·MONDAY, 29 APRIL 2019·

Plastic is killing our marine life. The fish we eat can potentially harm us, this due to discarded micro-plastic (AKA litter especially single use plastic) finding its way into their food chain. So as a community we have come together, under the watchful eye of Professor Gatard OBE DL, to create the WASUP campaign (Walsall Against Single Use Plastic) to educat

e and help reduce the amount of single use plastic is use within Walsall and hopefully the UK. Avoid littering, especially plastic! As it will eventually reach the oceans. Use re-usable water bottles. Use re-usable bags for your shopping. Bag for life are meant to be used for life, not brought every time you visit the shops. When purchasing a drink avoid using plastic cups and straws. Also share the knowledge you learn from us. Don’t forget to tag us in any post.

Eshal Shaukat is honored to represent Pakistan at the International Youth Conference 2026. She believes every girl deserves education, safety, freedom, and identity, and she also believes that climate justice is a right because every child deserves a safe and healthy future.

We are proud that she is raising her voice against single-use plastic and proudly representing the WASUP organization on a global stage. Her dedication to humanity, equality, and environmental protection is inspiring young people across Pakistan and beyond. 🇵🇰🌍

Gentle reminder what our should be. ARTEMIS II possibly saw this bird eye view, it is not a pleasant look!

Huge shout out to Sehaj Seimar for his contribution with the design in putting this video together. Thank you everyone for your valuable contribution.

Meet Eshal Shaukat, a Girl Rising Student Ambassador from Pakistan who is fighting for something every child deserves: the right to be recognized.

After meeting young girls who were denied schooling because they had no birth certificates, Eshal started the Pehchaan Project. Today, more than 50 girls who once lived and worked on the streets now have — or are in the process of receiving — legal identity documents. Many have begun taking classes at the GSK Women Empowerment Centre, opening new pathways to learning and safety.

Eshal’s message is simple:
No child should be invisible. Every child deserves a name, a record, and a future.
