It was a pleasure to visit Heart Care in Streetly and spend some time with Rina, her incredible team and some of their patients.

Heart Care provides such an important service, helping people with cardiac and lung conditions to regain confidence, improve their health and stay active in a friendly and supportive environment.

It was lovely to catch up with everyone, hear more about the charity’s work, and even have a go on one of the exercise bikes!

A huge thank you to everyone for such a warm welcome!

Knowing what to do in a heat emergency could make all the difference. Take a moment to learn these simple steps.

Remember to:
💧Drink plenty of water throughout the day
🥗Don't forget to eat regular, light meals to help keep your energy levels up
🏠Keep cool by closing curtains and blinds during the day
👒Stay in the shade between 11am and 3pm and wear a hat, sunscreen and light clothing if you're outside
❤️Check in on older relatives, neighbours and anyone who may be more vulnerable to the heat

💙 A Special Visit from Wendy Morton MP 💙

We were absolutely delighted to welcome Wendy Morton MP and her assistant Liam to our Streetly Centre this morning.

During her visit, Wendy took the time to chat with our patients as they exercised, speak with staff, and learn more about the work we do supporting people with cardiac and lung conditions. She even jumped on one of our exercise bikes and gave it a good go herself, much to everyone's delight! 🚴‍♀️😊

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed meeting Wendy, and it was wonderful to see her genuine interest in our charity and the people we support. Her warmth, kindness, and encouragement were greatly appreciated by patients and staff alike.

Wendy has visited Heart Care on several occasions over the years, and we are incredibly grateful for her continued support and friendship. We know how busy her schedule is, so it means a great deal that she takes the time to visit us and champion the work we do.

Thank you, Wendy, for another lovely visit. Your ongoing support means so much to the entire Heart Care family. 💙

🌟 Heart Care Sponsored Walk - another total Success! 🌟

We are thrilled to share that our annual charity walk was a tremendous success! The new venue of Chasewater Country Park was a hit with everyone. The wonderful weather provided perfect conditions for our participants to enjoy the event to the fullest.

A huge thank you to all the Walkers, including our amazing patients, dedicated staff, their families and friends, and, of course, the beautiful doggies that joined in the fun! Your enthusiasm and energy made the day truly special.

We are immensely grateful to everyone who supported our Walkers and donated generously. Your contributions make a significant impact on the lives of those we serve.

We had a wonderful visit from the RotaKids Club at Pool Hayes Primary School! 🌟

Three fantastic pupils - Taly, Georgia, and Ida dropped by to present us with an incredible cheque for £560, raised through all the brilliant fundraising activities held across the school.

The girls were accompanied by Taly’s mum, Claire, who is one of our lovely patients. During their visit, they had a great time meeting our staff and patients, and even got to test out some of our gym equipment! 🏋️‍♀️✨

A huge, heartfelt thank you to Taly, Georgia, Ida, mum Claire and the entire Pool Hayes Primary School community—every student and staff member who took part in making this donation possible. Your support means the world to us! 💖
