We were joined by the County Operations Team from St. John Ambulance - West Midlands, to talk about all things events and ambulances.

Thank you to Sean and Phil for joining us, we gained a lot of information about the event healthcare scene in the West Mids! Our volunteers asked some questions to gain some additional insight. We had a look at an ambulance, a cycle response bike and a community support vehicle!

Hopefully tonight’s session has built confidence for our volunteers and will equip people with the knowledge to be ready for events!

What Walsall got up to on our Wednesday Meeting Session this week:

Badgers 🦡💚:
Badgers continued to make their decorations from last week, painting their Valentine’s decorations and completing some themed arts & crafts.

Cadets 🩹💚:
Lucy led a session on how to deal with burns & scalds, we made use of Andrew’s knowledge on dealing with burns in a pre-hospital environment.

Adults 🚑💚:
Andrew led a session on wounds, making adults aware of the different types of wounds and how to deal with them!
