Development, Engagement, and Employability Social Enterprise working directly with children, young people, and young adults between the ages of 11-16, 17-24, and 25-35. Open Lens Media is a Youth Training, Development and Broadcast Community Interest Company providing engagement and employability training programmes, projects and workshops that support young people in accessing further opportunities in education, employment, training and entrepreneurial ventures. We achieve this by using Media Production, Digital and Communication Skills as engagement tools to develop young people’s confidence, social communication and wider transferable skills. Through our interactive courses we provide young people with the opportunity to learn transferable Media Skills that are becoming increasingly in demand from employers and educators. Our work specialises in working closely with young people aged 11-15 and 16-29 stemming from underrepresented and hard to reach backgrounds, NEET and experiencing issues such as low achievement, poverty, youth violence and social exclusion. Our mission is to create and provide innovative and interactive learning tools, within safe
and fun environments that engage young people and encourage them to develop their personal, professional and academic skills.

It was great to see young people getting involved, sharing ideas, building their confidence and exploring the world of podcasting.

This session was hosted by our fantastic facilitators, Taran and Rakeem, who helped create a space for young people to get creative, learn new skills and explore their voices.

We’ve officially handed out Certificates to our graduates for their NCFE Level 2 Award in Creative Media for Employability and Work Preparation!

Your CV can be your first step towards your next opportunity. 💼✨

As part of our partnership with National Grid, we recently delivered a CV Masterclass, led by Tahlena, helping young people build their CVs, recognise their skills and feel more confident about taking their next step towards employment.

Participants shared that the session was “really useful”, while Tahlena was praised for being friendly, approachable and supportive throughout. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
