When a song reminds you of someone who has passed, it triggers a strong wave of grief and love.
The music can become so deeply tied to that person that it feels like it belongs to them rather than the artist.

*Why Music Triggers Memory*

Brain links: Sounds bypass normal thought and tap straight into deep emotional centers.

Time travel: A single note can make a lost moment feel close again.

Shared history: Certain tracks mark specific times spent side-by-side.

(This was us with our mom in Jamaica…with our One Love cocktail, this is one of many songs that reminds me of my mom)

What song reminds you of your loved one?

A small favour that could make a big difference šŸ’œ

Grief can feel incredibly lonely, and sometimes the smallest act—reaching out, talking, or simply knowing there’s someone who understands—can make all the difference. That’s why we’d be so grateful if you could share the Paths of Remembrance page with your friends and family.

We’re a free support group for anyone who is experiencing grief or has experienced a loss, whether it’s recent or many years ago. Grief has no timeline, and no one should have to face it alone.

We meet every Wednesday at 6:30pm for a gentle walk around Walsall Arboretum. There’s no pressure, no judgement—just a safe, supportive space to walk, talk, listen, or simply be with others who understand.

Please also tag anyone you think might benefit from joining us. You never know who may be struggling in silence and could find comfort in knowing they’re not alone.

If you have a social media following, a community page, or any platform where you could help spread the word, we’d be incredibly grateful if you could share our page too. Every share helps us reach someone who may need our support.

Thank you for helping us reach those who may need a little extra support. Together, we can remind people that they don’t have to walk their grief journey alone.
