🎤 Meet our finalist 🎤

Ben Elliott is a 24 year old singer and DJ who discovered his love of singing at the age of seven. Although he has never had professional vocal training, music has always been a huge part of his life, and he spent several years performing regularly.

After a difficult couple of years personally, Ben almost didn’t audition for Walsall’s Got Talent, but decided to take the opportunity at the last minute. For Ben, reaching the final is about more than just performing — it’s about reconnecting with the passion that first inspired him to sing.

One of Ben’s biggest supporters has always been his mum, who was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago. While she’s no longer able to attend his performances, her encouragement continues to inspire him.

Ben hopes that taking to the Walsall’s Got Talent stage will help reignite his love for music and performing. We can’t wait to see you on that stage 🩵

A big thank you to Jimmy Smith and John Ashe from Jennifer Ashe & Son Funeral Directors & Memorials, and Lisa Orchard from Mercia Forest Crematorium, who recently presented £750 to Well Wishers alongside our very own Georgie.

Jennifer Ashe & Son contributed £250, adding to Mercia Forest Crematorium’s donation and helping to make an even bigger contribution to Walsall’s hospital charity.

Jennifer Ashe & Son have also supported our Children’s Ward previously with Easter egg and Christmas donations, so it was lovely to see their support continue 💙

Our Macmillan & Well Wishers Coffee Morning is coming up and, as well as inviting you to join us on the day, we’re looking for cake donations to help us raise as much as possible 🍰

Homemade or shop-bought, cakes, cupcakes and sweet treats are all welcome.

If you’d like to donate, please email us at [email protected] to let us know.

Funds raised on the day will be split between Macmillan Cancer Support and the Well Wishers Chemotherapy Fund.

One last stop for our Summer Roadshow ☀🛻💨

We've been out and about across Walsall this summer, meeting so many lovely people, spreading the word about Well Wishers and showing how our community get involved. Now its time for our final stop!

Next Saturday, we'll be at Walsall Pride, and we couldn't think of a better way to round off our Summer out in the community 🏳️‍🌈

💃 Meet our finalists 💃

Amber and Eva-Rose are both 11 years old, best friends and ballroom and Latin dance partners, who both attend Young’s Academy of Dance.

The duo entered Walsall’s Got Talent to share their passion for dance and celebrate the talent within the local community.

Throughout their dance journey, Amber and Eva-Rose have competed in a number of competitions, most recently winning their category at the Open Worlds School Championships at the iconic Blackpool Tower — a fantastic achievement.

Now, they’re looking forward to taking to the Walsall’s Got Talent stage and showcasing their ballroom and Latin routine to the audience. Good luck girls 🩵

A huge thank you to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association for their generous donation of arts, crafts and activity goodies for our young patients at Walsall Manor Hospital.

From colouring books and pencils to paints and chalkboards, there’s plenty here to help keep little hands busy and bring some extra fun and creativity to their time in hospital.

Our Children’s Ward team were delighted to receive everything on behalf of the children.

Thank you for thinking of our young patients and for your continued wonderful support 💙
