The second card-holders match will be held this month on the 25th October, only a couple of weeks away. We will be fishing the Crown stretch.

The parking and draw will take place at Tuppenhurst bridge 57 at 9am, fishing 10 until 3. Entry will be £10 all in. These card holder matches are open to anyone with a canal card. So if you fancy joining us please book in on here or drop me a message on messenger with any questions etc.

Sunday October 4th October saw a return to Wilden Pool Stourport. With morning temps at 7°c it was a bit of a fresh start to the day. A few of the lads always drop in for breakfast at Smithy’s Cafe when we fish this pool as it’s a good way to start the day.

The draw took place on the car park at 9am with the sun already breaking through for what turned out to be a lovely day. Fishing wise it took a while for the big resident fish to feed, but a few did have a munch late on, whilst others put some nice nets of silvers together. Andy Matejic

First on the day was David Harley with 61-8-0, closely followed by Dean Chapman with 59-9-0. Third place went to Stevie James with 47-1-0 Well done to all that fished. And away!

Sunday 20th September saw our latest club match fished at Bredon on the Warwickshire Avon. A few of us were hoping the recent rain would put a spot of colour in the water and that the resident bream would feed. Sadly for most, that was not the case and the river was still low and gin clear. With a low river and blue skies I personally expected a difficult match but fortunately the silver fish fed and everyone had a few bites.

Club legend 👑 Deano cleaned up yet again. And Ernie managed a couple of bream late on.

First on the Day Dean Chapman8-10-0,
second Ernest Harris. 8-1-0 and
third Colin Talbot4-9-0.

Well done to all that fished - great turn out guys. Our next match is in two weeks with a return Wilden pool. And away!

Today’s match was on our own Crown water. The canal fished somewhat harder than expected but a few fish did feed. A big well done to Colin Talbot on winning the match and the bonus peg! Great to see Dave Brown back out with us and looking well.

Big well done to Deano on winning the BAA River championship today. Well done to the rest of the Walsall boys picking up 1st 2nd and 4th along with a section win as well!

Today’s match was fished at Pershore RB BAA waters. It was a seriously difficult match for most with only small fish willing to feed. Well done to Andy Matejic on winning the match with 3-8-0. Andy caught a mixed bag of fish fishing shallow at 4 meters. Second on the day was Steve James with 2-14-0 and 3rd on the day was Ernest Harris with 2-5-0.

The bonus peg still hasn’t Been won and now stands at £62 and rolls onto our next match at Bromley. Well done to all that fished today.

Yesterdays’ match saw a return to Fladbury and a really low, clear river. With a few away it made for a smaller match than usual but it was still a good craic with a pint in the pub afterwards. 1st on the day and a return to fishing after his hand operation was Deano with 6-7-0. 2nd on the day was David Harley with 5-7-0 and 3rd went to Sam Handley. Well done to all that fished our next patch sees us back at pershore. And away!
