We have been selected as one of the Tesco Stronger Starts charities in North Tyneside for the next couple of months until 31 March 2026.

Our application is based on taking our youth members away on a trip to Moor House Scout Activity Centre in Durham this summer.

If you shop in one of the Tesco stores below, lease ask for a blue token and put it in our box - and encourage your family, friends, colleagues and neighbours to do the same!

Of the 3 chartites for this period, the highest will get £1500, second will get £1000 and third will get £500.

Cubs and Scouts attended Jamboree on the Internet/Jamboree on the Air sessions this weekend hosted by Tynemouth District messaging other Scouts from around the world.

SANTA SLEIGH HO HO HO

Santa is on his way to Hadrian Park 22 December . He will be starting at the Car Park at The Bush 17.30 and will be visiting the following streets

The Swallows via Addington Drive
Askrigg Avenue via Addington Drive
Arden Close
Lancaster Drive via Addington Drive
Aysgarth Avenue
Agricola Gardens via Addington Drive
Returning to the Bush via Addington Drive

(these streets allow access to the sleigh)

This is the first year Tynemouth Scouts have visited Wallsend and the Sleigh is really worth seeing .

There will be a collection and all donations received will go to Local Scout Groups

On behalf of all the 18th Wallsend leaders, we would like to wish Jamie (one of our young leaders) a fantastic time on his Explorer Belt expedition across Italy. They leave tomorrow and you can follow their progress at Explorer Belt to Italy . We hope it's not too hot!

Another of our young leaders, Grace is off to the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea soon as well.

We look forward to hearing about their adventures and seeing the photos!

Exciting News

On Monday 24th October, 18th Wallsend Scouts are hosting an Open Evening between 6pm and 8pm at Wallsend Baptist church hall (Milfield Avenue, Wallsend, NE28 9JG).

There will be lots of fun activities including fire lighting, science experiments and marshmallow toasting, music and more.

Beavers: 6 – 8 Years old
Cubs: 8 – 10 ½ Years old
Scouts: 10 ½ - 14 Years old

There are also opportunities for people aged 18+ to also join.
Drop in for a cuppa and a look around.
