Hollie Glanfield is a Trustee of the charity Joy of Learning. The charity works with families in Uganda where only about 1 in 4 children complete primary school due to the costs involved. Joy of Learning enables children and young people to attend school and reach their educational potential via educational sponsorship. The charity also supports the families they work with in providing food, medical assistance and basic clothing.

Jane Kinninmont is the CEO at the United Nations Association – UK. Prior to this she was the Policy & Impact Director at The European Leadership Network (ELN), where she worked to strengthen the influence, policy relevance and impact of the ELN’s research, convening and networks. Dr. Nigel Dower is Senior Lecturer Emeritus in Philosophy at the University of Aberdeen where he taught until 2004, except for three years teaching Philosophy in Zimbabwe (1983-86). In June 2004 he took early retirement to pursue his interests in ‘exploring ethics in a globalised world’ and to work more in the voluntary
sector. His main research interests are in the ethics/philosophy of development, environment and global/international relations.
