The City of Hobart has decided to remove publicly available e-scooters from its streets due to ongoing safety and compliance issues.

It will instead introduce more e-bikes, saying the "shared micromobility program" was otherwise successful in reducing emissions and car trips, and was widely used.

The talk is happening this Thursday, the 23rd April 2026 at 11.45am to 12.30pm at the NEC in Birmingham. Our team which includes Saz Leadbetter, Sarah Gayton and Vincent Stops welcomes the opportunity to meet as many people as possible at the show and discuss the issues we raise during our talk.
