Thornes Millennium Green

13/07/2026

We’ve been working hard this last couple of weeks to make the green look as good as we can despite the hot weather drying everything out, ready for our assessment today by the RHS. Now have to wait until September for the results.
If you’d like to be part of this amazing group just turn up on a Monday morning around 9am in suitable clothing and we’ll provide the rest.

Can I thank everyone who popped in to our fundraiser coffee morning yesterday. It was a pleasant surprise to see our local MP Simon Lightwood turn up. Despite the hot weather keeping numbers down we still managed to raise £138.71 (not sure where the 1p came from!!). The monies will be used to pay the insurance and help with the upkeep
