Our community manager, Diane, represented the Foundation in Horbury's Co-op store during their street fair yesterday.

We were chosen as one of Co-op's local community causes. When members choose us as their cause and scan their membership card or QR code at the checkout when buying certain products, money gets donated to our cause as no extra cost to the customer.

Thank you to Horbury Co-op for having us and for all the Co-op members who chose us as their local cause. 🩵

This month for Our House, we're focusing on the bathroom — and our theme is Clean as a Whistle.

When a family fleeing crisis arrives in emergency accommodation, they often have nothing. No towels or toiletries. No basics that most of us reach for without thinking.

This June, we're raising funds for towels and toiletries to include in our care packages for local families in the Wakefield District.

🩵 £5 makes a real difference
💚 Every penny stays local
🩷 Every donation goes directly to someone rebuilding their life

If you're able to give something this month — however small — please consider donating here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/our-house-wakefield

It's World Environment Day! 🌎

When you donate to The Community Give Box in Trinity Walk, your preloved items don't end up in landfill — they end up changing someone's life.

Sold in our shop to raise funds. Or donated directly to a family in crisis, someone fleeing abuse, or a person starting over with nothing.

That's the circular economy — but make it local. ♻️

Got a clear-out planned? Think of us first. 🩵

🍽️ This month for Our House, we're focusing on Food for Thought.

When a family fleeing crisis moves into emergency accommodation, they often arrive with nothing. No microwave to heat up a meal. No air fryer to cook on a budget. Just four walls — and the difficult task of starting again.

These aren't luxuries. For families rebuilding after domestic abuse, a house fire, or sudden homelessness, being able to cook a hot meal is one of the first small steps towards feeling stable again.

For example, £50 buys a microwave to help a family cook low-cost meals — right here in the Wakefield District.

Every penny raised through Our House stays local. Every donation goes directly to someone in our community who needs it most.

If you can help this month, we'd love your support 👇
