Good morning everyone

Join the Next Generation of Karate Referees with FEKO

Karate is more than just a martial art—it is a discipline that cultivates respect, precision, and a lifelong pursuit of personal excellence. A dedicated referee stands at the heart of every successful karate tournament, upholding the values and ensuring fairness, safety, and spirited competition. FEKO is proud to announce the upcoming Karate Referee Training Programme, led by our own Chief Referee and World Chief Referee Farouk Younes, designed to build and strengthen the future of karate officiating across England and beyond.

We are now inviting expressions of interest from individuals who wish to embark on this rewarding journey, develop a deeper understanding of karate, and play a pivotal role in the sport's growth. Whether you are an experienced karateka, a coach, or someone with a keen interest in competitions, this training offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the karate community.

FEKO’s referee training is a comprehensive programme crafted to provide aspiring referees with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to excel locally and nationally. Our training aligns with national and international standards, ensuring that karateka are equipped to referee at the highest level of competition.

The Programme Objectives

To impart a thorough knowledge of current karate competition rules and regulations.
To develop practical refereeing skills through hands-on workshops and live simulations.
To promote integrity, impartiality, and professionalism in officiating.
To build a network of qualified, confident referees who can uphold the spirit of karate
Would you please circulate this information to all your members and send expressions of interest to me?

Yours in karate
