The convoluted multi-bus journey and miserable weather have been putting me off returning to Westgate Common WMC to confirm our upcoming visit with Liz.

Rather than leave it any longer I decided to ring her and do the biz over the phone.

I'm pleased to report she enjoyed her holiday but is happy to be back. She remembers us fondly and says she'd be more than happy to see us all once again on July 18th.

So, get your last minute training sessions arranged because the competition to decide the overall 2026 FFAW Superstar is imminent.

I've taken the opportunity to run my provisional scoring through the official spreadsheet and have to report a couple of positional changes in the mid-table placings.

I'm happy to pass all our congratulations to Glenn, Phil D and Rainer who did more than enough to secure the podium places for 2025.

A beautiful Island, glorious weather, fabulous people and a brand new name on the Woodkirk Challenge Plate all combined to make the 2025 FFAW Superstars particularly memorable. Thank you all for turning up.
