Thank you for choosing us to support and thank you for your very kind donation.

Lillie’s Law Update
With the release of the Government’s new Road Safety Strategy, a consultation has been announced to look into adopting Lillie’s Law.

Lillie Clack, 22, from Morden, died days after she was a passenger in a drink-driving crash.

🚨🚨 Huge win for local Ryan’s Law family campaigners!

Very pleased to announce that the Ryans Law campaign, set up by the family of Ryan Saltern who was killed in a hit-and-run incident here in North Cornwall, has had a huge development this week…

The Government has announced a consultation on tougher penalties for hit and run drivers following their campaign.

The driver who killed Ryan failed to stop, failed to call for help, and still avoided prison. ❌

No family should ever have to go through that.

I was very proud to formally bring forward Ryan's Law to parliament recently, via an amendment I tabled to the Sentencing Bill (New Clause 35).

Please take part in the consultation if you’ve been affected by similar cases - the details of which will follow shortly and be linked in the comments of this post.

Huge congratulations to the inspiring Mark, Helen, and Leanne Saltern for their tireless campaigning on this important issue. 🙂

We shared Sharlotte's Law across our social media and we wanted to give you an update.
Update from Jonathon from today; I am truly delighted to see Sharlotte’s Law included in the Government’s Road Safety Strategy.
While it is not yet law it will first go to public consultation.

💕 SHARLOTTE’S LAW 💕

Tomorrow, the Government will publish its new road safety strategy.

My hope is that it includes Sharlotte’s Law, so that something meaningful and lasting can come from the life of Sharlotte Sky-Naglis, who was so cruelly taken from her family.

Sharlotte was killed by a driver who was drunk, on drugs, and speeding. No family should ever have to endure that kind of loss.

Alongside Sharlotte’s brave mum, Claire, I was proud to help launch the campaign for Sharlotte’s Law. At its heart is a simple issue of justice for victims around the current requirement for a suspect’s consent before a blood sample can be tested in cases where someone has died.

Consent is not required to take the blood in the first place, so it has never made sense to me why it can’t just be tested when a life has been lost in a traffic collision. Especially when a suspect refuses consent can drag out the pain victims families suffer as they seek answers. That gap in the law cannot be right.

We have been incredibly grateful for the support of road safety campaigners who share our determination to see change, including Brake, CAAD and SCARD.

If you have nothing to fear, there should be no reason to fear a blood test.
