🐮 CLUB NIGHT 🐮
This weeks club night was a farm walk at Robert Hurfords! It was an interesting evening where we were given a tour of the suckler groups out field, and then came back to see the handling system and finishing cattle.

We were then treated to some delicious pasties, and great baking for dessert!

Thankyou so much to the Hurford family for a great tour followed by great refreshments!

🍎 HAYWOOD CIDER FARM 🍎
This weeks club night was a visit to Haywood cider farm, where members got the opportunity to learn all about the runnings of a cider farm, from propagation to pint!

Tom showed us around the orchard and the cider making areas and then treated us to delicious pints of cider and apple juice!

Thankyou so much to Tom for taking the time out of his evening to show us around, it was great!

This weeks club night was a visit to Bodmin nursery! We were showed around by Mark who clearly had a passion for what he did within the nursery, and wanted to share that with all of us.

It was so insightful to hear about the daily running of the nursery, as well as the long history that came with it!

🌱 SOIL TALK 🌱

On Thursday evening, we welcomed the University of Plymouth to our club night as part of their ‘Returning Stories of the Soil’ project.

It was a really interesting evening, with members sharing memories, family history, and current farming practices while discussing the importance of soil.

A big thank you to the University of Plymouth team for visiting us, leading the session, and providing some delicious refreshments. We were delighted to be part of such an interesting project! 🌱
