Friends of Waddow supports and enhances Girlguiding UK's Training Activity Centre, Waddow Hall. Minimum annual subscription is £12 for individuals, £30 for families/groups and £250 for life membership. Over the years, Friends of Waddow has part-funded or funded activities such as zip wire, crag, tree climb, jacob's ladder, low ropes, crate stack and escape room together with a new estate vehicle,

the camp toilet block and the fantastic Friends Zone marquee. In addition, Friends of Waddow provide grants for Senior Section members and Leaders to attend training at Waddow. We meet annually in July, but opportunities are available for members to provide practical support through our volunteer links with Waddow and our Young Friends Service weekends which take place twice a year.

Following the success of our Friends Reunion last July, we have arranged to do it again from 3-5 July 2026. It is a very relaxed weekend where you can chat with Friends, renew acquaintances and enjoy Waddow.
The cost is £190 for a shared room or £210 for a single room.

If all these wonderful posts are making you want to see for yourself, you may want to book onto the Friends Finale leisure weekend.Its open to anyone, you don't need to have been a Friend.There's no set programme, but already people are offering things to do and there's plenty in and around Waddow.One thing guaranteed is great food, fun and a wonderful Waddow welcome.

Today marked the final meeting of the Friends of Waddow Committee.
Also missing from the picture are Carolyn Hogan and Linda Dixon.
Thank you all for your dedication to Friends.
The remaining funds will be spent on Waddow to improve facilities for young people and the community and we will be keeping a close check that it is all spent on Waddow facilities and activities.
There will not be anymore posts on this page and all future information about Waddow will be on Waddow Hall Trust page.
Thank you all for your support in the past it has enabled Waddow to be the wonderful place it is. Look out in the future for a supporters group on Waddow Hall Trust Facebook and Waddow Activity Centre site.
