🧡 When symptoms persist, they must be taken seriously

Sadly, we hear many stories of people visiting their GP multiple times with persistent reflux, being prescribed PPIs - and only later being diagnosed with oesophageal cancer.

Our latest blog explores Jess’s Rule and why it could be a vital step towards earlier diagnosis, alongside real experiences shared by our community.

Because when something doesn’t feel right, it deserves another look.

Thank you to everyone we spoke to today The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre wirral.
We handed out 100 care packs (bags) and 100 carers boxes.

A little kindness goes along away when you are going through cancer treatment and we hope our packs bought a little brightness to your day.

Also thank you to my sister Fi Duffy
and brother in law Chris Jones for helping to handout the packs .

We will be back soon đź’ś

🌍 World Cancer Day 🎗️

Today is a day that will always mean so much to us.

Cancer affects so many lives, not just the person diagnosed, but their whole family too. It changes everything.

We started Mr B’s Legacy in memory of my dad, and because we know how important comfort, kindness and support can be during the hardest times.

Today we’re thinking of…

đź’™ everyone living with cancer
💙 everyone we’ve lost and will never forget
đź’™ every family going through it right now

No one should ever feel alone.

Thank you to every single person who supports what we do and helps us bring a little bit of comfort to cancer patients and their loved ones.

Just a reminder we are at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre WIRRAL this morning!

My fabulous Mum & Auntie will be there giving out our Care Packs!

✨ We’re Back at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Wirral✨

On Wednesday 4th February, Mr B’s Legacy will be visiting Clatterbridge Cancer Centre (Wirral) to deliver more of our care packages to patients and their loved ones.

This visit is especially meaningful as it falls on World Cancer Day, and during Oesophageal Cancer Awareness Month - a time to not only raise awareness, but to remind those affected that they are never alone.

Our packs are filled with comfort, kindness, and small essentials to support patients and carers through the hardest days.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Mr B’s Legacy. Every donation, share, and act of kindness helps us bring comfort when it’s needed most.

Less Survivable Cancers Awareness Week

📅 12–16 January 2026

Less survivable cancers - including oesophageal cancer - account for nearly half of all cancer deaths in the UK. Yet progress in research and early diagnosis hasn’t kept pace with the scale of the challenge.

That’s why we’re joining with others across the UK to call for greater investment in research and urgent action to close the research gap for people affected by less survivable cancers.

During the week, we’ll be raising awareness - and you can support the campaign by:

📣 sharing campaign messages
đź“© emailing your MP
🧡 adding your voice and calling for change for everyone affected by less survivable cancers

If you or someone you love has been affected by oesophageal cancer and would like to share your experience, we’d love to hear from you.

Please get in touch by sending us a direct message or contacting our team on [email protected]

Together, we can help drive change where it’s needed most.
