Cancer52 - the alliance of over 100 UK cancer charities representing rare and less common cancers- has launched a new patient survey to better understand the experiences, challenges and priorities of people affected by rare and less common cancers, including oesophageal cancer.

The findings will help strengthen patient voices and inform future research, policy and advocacy work - including areas such as access to genetic and genomic testing, diagnosis, treatment and support.

If you have been affected by oesophageal cancer, your experiences and insights could help shape future change and improve understanding of patient needs.

The survey is anonymous and closes on Friday 10 July.

🧡 When symptoms persist, they must be taken seriously

Sadly, we hear many stories of people visiting their GP multiple times with persistent reflux, being prescribed PPIs - and only later being diagnosed with oesophageal cancer.

Heartburn Health, a national research programme to find ways to improve care for people with heartburn, indigestion or acid reflux has launched in Wirral and is looking for volunteers with these symptoms, aged 55-79 to take part.

Thank you to everyone we spoke to today The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre wirral.
We handed out 100 care packs (bags) and 100 carers boxes.

A little kindness goes along away when you are going through cancer treatment and we hope our packs bought a little brightness to your day.

Also thank you to my sister Fi Duffy
and brother in law Chris Jones for helping to handout the packs .
