We are loving spending half term out and about in the local community getting into the Halloween spirit! 🎃🧡

N has been keeping busy taking on the Spooktacular thrill rides at Paultons Park, whilst also learning to practice patience while waiting in the long queues.

In a world where disabled young people can face barriers to participation, with Rose Road we have the freedom to explore, experiment, and learn new life skills, helping them to feel valued, included and proud of what they can do - most importantly, all while having fun! 🧡

We've really enjoyed visiting Sunnyfields Farm Pumpkin Time this week to pick our own pumpkins! We then got stuck in and got messy carving spooky faces 🎃
We're so grateful to Tom and the team for kindly gifting us tickets again this year.
Support like this helps remove barriers to access, making it possible for disabled young people to enjoy the same exciting seasonal experiences as their peers, make memories, try new things and, most importantly, have fun! A huge thank you to Sunnyfields for making this experience possible 🧡🎃

🕯🎶 Join us for a festive evening of song and celebration at 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 🎶🕯

Soak up festive readings, uplifting carols performed by Choir South Hampshire • Choirs led by Jan Moll, followed by a relaxing drinks reception with mince pies 🥧 and mulled wine🍷 to catch up friends and fellow Rose Road supporters, to raise funds to support disabled children and young adults.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱, with a suggested donation of £20 per guest which can be made with your booking or on the night.

We're starting to get into the spooky spirit this week, visiting the Halloween Trail at Keydell Nurseries and Pumpkin Time at Sunnyfields Farm! 👻🧙‍♀️🎃 We love to plan trips that enable disabled young people to engage in fun seasonal activities and feel a sense of belonging - and we have lots more planned for the half term week so watch this space!

We're here this evening at Haskins Garden Centre, West End at their Late Night Christmas Shopping launch with two great competitions to raise funds for Rose Road!

🤔 Guess the number of baubles at 50p a go, between now and 2nd November, to win one of three prizes!

🎁 Buy 3 Christmas Raffle tickets for £5, for the chance to win one of two fantastic hampers donated by Haskins, between now and 18th December.

A soft play centre is one of the most common go-to activities with the kids in half term, but what if the noise, crowds and accessibility meant it was out of bounds for your child?

At Rose Road, for those on session or in our half term hoiday club, we have our very own soft play room available, with hoist support and a range of equipment for free-flow discovery.

Here, every individual, no matter how complex their needs, gets to enjoy exploring, building, relaxing and playing without the worries that mainstream settings can trigger.

It's just one of the many facilities that are possible thanks to the support of our wondeful community donating to and fundraising for Rose Road.

Creating opportunities for joy, friendship and independence every day 🥰

Come along to the Brass Monkey New -358 Shirley Road this Thursday 22nd October for their Race Day in aid of Rose Road! This is a fantastic community venue that runs so many events for the charity, we really appreciate their ongoing support and of course the generosity of their customers who so willingly get involved to support Rose Road ❤
