Temporary Road Closure

NIDDRIES LANE in Moulton.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic on the following length of road in MOULTON, to enable Carriageway Surfacing & Lining. Works to be carried out by UE500 - Colas Ltd (CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER COUNCIL).
NIDDRIES LANE: Niddries Lane - closure between its junctions with Anthony Drive and Whitlow Lane.

Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes. The closure will come into force on 06/08/2026 and will continue in force for a maximum of five days. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately five days to complete. (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intends to make an Order the effect of
which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on following roads in the Parish of Moulton to enable the Pie & Peas 5 event to be carried out by organiser.

The Order will come into force on Wednesday 5th August 2026, with the following lengths of roads to be closed from 18:50 until 20:10 as detailed below.

Roads to be closed:
• Main Road (to a point approximately 240 metres from Beehive Lane and Jack Lane to the end of Main Road).

Pedestrian access to premises situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained at all times.

Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes and agreed vehicles linked to the safety and logistics for the event delivery.

The promoter of the event is Vale Royal Athletic Club.
